Homecoming

Home just hits different. My heart has always been here, with everyone I love, and after three years away from everything familiar, everything comfortable, I made it back.

I’ve changed pretty dramatically, in almost every way, and the city is a different city to me now than it was when I left it. There’s almost a novelty to it, comprised of undiscovered parts I’ve never known. All the meat, the tradition, the faith. Like a new adventure with an old flame. Everyone finds their way back home eventually, in one form or another. And even despite all the change, the growth, the transformation (or maybe because of it), it feels so good.
